The promenade and the Rotonda

Walking or cycling along the cycle path that runs along the beach, you can reach the Rotonda a Mare, a perfect example of the architecture of the early '900. It became famous in the 60s for hosting glamorous parties and musical evenings with famous artists and today is the picturesque setting of events and exhibitions.
Going on you will arrive at the harbour and, from the tip of the pier, you can admire the view that goes from Pesaro to Monte Conero.

A city of history and art

Senigallia is also known as the birthplace of Pope Pius IX Mastai Ferretti. He was born on 13 May 1792 and even these days you can visit his House Museum.
In the historic centre, you can discover some valuable monuments: the Rocca Roveresca, the Portici Ercolani, Piazza Garibaldi, the Duke’s Palace or the seventeenth-century Government Palace, now the Town Hall.

Events

In Summer, the city hosts national and international events of great importance such as the Rai Radio 2 Caterraduno, the Yellow Book Festival, Pane Nostrum. The most significant is the Summer Jamboree, dedicated to the culture and music of the legendary American '40s and '50s.
